April 2017 Busy month

Porch ceiling

Dining room ceiling

Exterior walls closed up

Dining room bay window taking shape

Kitchen plumbing goes in and corner west facing window gives us the sunsets.

Roofing material gets escalated up to the top.

Decorative moldings on the crown start to get installed.

The team adds one layer of molding at a time.

Existing fish scale pattern will be mimicked throughout

Addition is wrapped and we are almost "zipped up"

Roof goes on in three days.

South facing wall is wrapped.

Complicated plumbing assemblies in the laundry room. Water is under pressure.

Shower side shows the many connections required to give us the hand held.

Finding space to put towel bars is a challenge with the water and electric lines everywhere.

Ceiling will hold fans, chandeliers counter weighted work light and recessed lights.

Above the kitchen is the reflective sub roof, this layer should reduce transfer of heat in and cool out.

Electric sub panel, even the upgraded  main panel wasn't enough to manage the levels of light.

Reconditioned Eastlake door  arrives from storage. All of the glass panels have been removed, joints cleaned, remounted and the entire door has been straightened and re-glued. It feels like new, but looks it's age.

From the west, it is really looking like a house.

Front door inset glass arrived. This was salvaged from 100+ year old house and will be placed in our front door.

Roofing layers went up to seal roof. Rain is on the way.

Even the front dormer got a new roof. The original pattern and paint have been preserved.
