The walls go up on Valentine's Day!

Rising from piles of wood literally dropped in the street, the walls are framed on site and we can now imagine the rooms and see how it all fits.  It surprised me when one of the assistant builders asked me to describe the rooms. I guess I assumed everyone knew the plans. In fact, only the contractors have memorized the plans, everyone else is just taking orders that sound like a different language, "make a California" and "now we need a 45-degree long to short 36-inches".

The walls fit together like lego pieces, made stronger because they create finger joints in the corners. (not sure that is the real name) We are watching them create a piece of art from the inside out.

Literally dropped off the truck.

Progress from the bay window view

My church dome view with the snowy mountains in the distance.

Framing moved from south to north with the bay window last.

Designing angles isn't nearly as hard as building them.
